There are numerous emerging fashion designers who call Brooklyn home. Inspired by their surroundings in this hip borough they continue to innovate, hone their craft and rise to fame. From menswear to handbags, here are a few up-and-coming Brooklyn-based designers.

Kai D.
Kai D. is a Brooklyn based menswear line whose aesthetic is and philosophy is simple refined clothing for the modern artisan that is built to last. They have a brick and mortar store in the heart of Williamsburg (230 Grand St.) and the utilitarian look and feel of the show room with exposed brick and all screams modern Brooklyn. Kai D. appeals to the modern man who is also a fan of vintage. This menswear line is wearable; execution is flawless and construction is well thought out.
